We have meal options available on a rotating schedule. You may choose all meal plans allowing your child to enjoy hot lunch most Fridays October thru January, and February thru May or you can
select individual meal plan options and your child will only participate on those specified dates.
Each week all meals will include fresh fruits and vegetables as well as the choice of chocolate milk, regular milk or water.
Hot Lunch is broken into 2 Sessions: Winter (Oct-Jan) and Spring (Feb-May). Your student must to be signed up prior to the sessions to allow us to order the correct amount of food for each student eating. Menues will be provided to parents weeks before each session begins. On Fridays that school is not in session, or the majority of students are off campus, we will not have Hot Lunch. Please check your Hot Lunch Calendars carefully to know when you will need to pack a lunch for your students.
Hot Lunch is currently on Fridays only. The remainder of the week you will need to pack a lunch for your child.
Please pack a nutritious lunch for your child, including a cold pack, if needed. We strongly discourage sugary foods such as candy, sugary drinks, and soda pop in children’s lunches. Please label
lunchboxes and all of your child’s personal belongings with his or her name.
Our staff encourages children to eat the “main dish” portion of their meals before they eat the rest. We ask kids to put the uneaten portion of less messy items, such as sandwiches, back in their containers so their parents can see what was eaten.
Microwaves are available in the lunchroom; however we must limit the microwave time to 2 minutes per student preferably once a week so students can make the most of their lunch time. During cold months, we highly recommend hot food in a thermos.
