LAM summer camp 2018 information

 

Summer Camp Registration Opens:

  • Tuesday, April 3, 2018 to current 2017-18 students and siblings, children of LAM staff, and registered 2018-19 students.
  • Tuesday, April 17, 2018 to the general public.

Summer Camp is open to all students age 3 by June 1st and potty trained through those entering 6th grade.

 

Space is Limited! Reserve your spot early!

Activity Fee (non-refundable): $75 through April 13th ($100 if paid after April 13th). This fee covers all field trips and events on student’s scheduled days. Once you are accepted, the activity fee is non-refundable. However, the activity fee will be refunded if we do not have room for your student.

Mandatory “Back to Camp” Night: Tuesday, May 22nd at 5:30 pm. All Summer Camp families must attend!

First Day of Camp: The first day of the Summer Camp program is Monday, June 4th.

 

Last Day of Camp: The last day is Friday, August 24th for those not attending LAM for the 2018-19 school year and Wednesday, August 29th for 2018-19 continuing LAM students.

 

Camp Hours: Summer Camp opens at 6:45 am and closes promptly at 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We will not accept drop-ins over summer. Drop-ins are defined as families who have not registered and paid the summer activity fee.

 

Camp Closed: Wednesday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.

 

No Summer Camp or BASP available: From Thursday, August 30th through Tuesday, September 4th. BASP opens on the first day of school, Wednesday, September 5th at 6:45 am.

 

Tuition:

  • Option A - 5 days per week, unlimited hours - $425/month
  • Option B - 2 days per week minimum, 4 hours per day or less - $15/day
  • Option C - 2 days per week minimum, more than 4 hours per day - $25/day

Registration steps for Summer Camp vary depending on your relationship with LAM. Please follow the steps that best fit your relationship. Contact the LAM Office if you are unsure about your category.

 

Links for the Summer Camp Registration Forms* are located below in two sections: one for all families and an additional section for families attending LAM for Summer Camp only. Paper copies are available in the LAM Office if needed.

Summer Camp Registration for those attending LAM for the 2017-18 and/or 2018-19 school year:


1. Read the LAM FAMILY HANDBOOK June 2018 – May 2019* and the Summer Camp 2018 Handbook Supplement* – print and keep for future reference.

2. Once registration is open, return the following to the LAM Office:

    • Activity Fee 
    • Summer Camp 2018 Activity Fee and Application* form (one per family)
    • Getting to Know Your Summer Camp Student* form (one per student)
    • Field Trip Permission Slip (pg. 1* and 2*) form (one per student)
    • Summer Camp 2018 Monthly Calendar/Attendance Schedule* form (one per family) – Return the June calendar/attendance schedule with your Summer Camp Application and Activity Fee. The July and August calendar/attendance schedule must be returned by the 15th of the prior month to ensure your student is included on field trips scheduled on their day(s) of attendance.

3. Contact the LAM Office to review your student’s profile sheet from Summer Camp 2017 to confirm student’s medical information is up-to-date and authorized pick-up and family contact information is accurate.

Summer Camp Registration for those that have NOT ATTENDED LAM for school or Summer Camp in prior years:


1. Read the LAM FAMILY HANDBOOK June 2018 – May 2019* and the Summer Camp 2018 Handbook Supplement* – print and keep for future reference.


2. Contact the LAM Office to schedule a Principal Tour/Interview. If your student attended LAM but it was prior to the recent school year or last year’s Summer Camp, please call to see if the Principal Interview/Tour is required.


3. Once registration is open, return the following to the LAM Office:
    • Activity Fee 
    • Summer Camp 2018 Activity Fee and Application* form (one per family)
    • Getting to Know Your Summer Camp Student* form (one per student)
    • Field Trip Permission Slip (pg. 1* and 2*) form (one per student)

Notice of Change
If you need to request a trade of days or hours, a minimum 72 hour notice is required. Please complete the form, Change Request, and return to the Summer Camp Staff. Approval will be given if space and staffing are available to accommodate the request. However, if we are unable to accommodate this request, no refunds will be given for not attending on the regularly scheduled day or time.
